ACC cleared nine Board level appointments in Central PSUs; Sinha became CMD of NCL

The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi cleared the appointment for nine Board level positions. Prabhat Kumar Sinha (Director-Technical, SECL) appointed to the post of Chairman and Managing Director, Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) till 31 December 2021. In addition, eight Directors were appointed in POSOCO, HEC, IREL, THDC and BCCL. It may be underlined that POSOCO, HEC and BCCL got two new directors whereas IREL and THDC got one director each. Accordingly;
Mradul Kumar Saxena (GM, MTNL) and Mrs. Arundati Panda (GM, BSNL) appointed to the post of Director (Personnel) and Director (Finance) in Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited (HEC) respectively for a period of five years.
Praveen Kumar Agarwal (ED, POSOCO) and Meenakshi Davar (ED, PGCIL) appointed to the posts of Director (Market Operation) and Director (HR) respectively in POSOCO Limited for a period of five years.
Narendra Kumar Tripathi (GM, ECL) appointed as Director (Technical), Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) for a period ending 31.10.2019 and R S Mahapatra (GM, SECL) appointed as Director (Personnel), Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) for a period ending 31 May 2020.
Arun Kumar Mohapatra (GM, IREL) appointed as Director (Technical), Indian Rare Earths Limited (IREL) for a period of five years.
Harbans Lal Arora (ED, THDCIL) appointed as Director (Technical), Tehri Hydro Development Corporation India Limited (THDCIL) for a period of five years.
Apart from nine full-time directors ACC also cleared the appointment of Ms. Nalini Padmanabhan as Non-official Director on the Board of NLC Tamil Nadu Power Limited (NTPL) till 01.02.2020. Currently she serves as Non-official part-time Director, NLC India Limited (NLCIL).
