New Delhi (29.07.2002): If some well-placed sources are to be believed a Union Secretary belonging to the 1988 batch of IAS puts in papers today citing personal reasons. Reportedly, in addition to personal reasons for resignation, the UP cadre officer Ms Juthika Patankar, working as Secretary, Central Information Commissioner, did not find her present responsibility aspiring enough to keep herself motivated in terms of career progression and chose to quit service one & a half years ahead her superannuation. It may be underlined that initially, Mrs Patankar, then Additional Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, was repatriated to the parent cadre but following her empanelment for holding Secretary equivalent post the Centre in the first week of October 2021 revoked its decision and later appointed her Secretary, CIC.
