A smooth sail for Cong-NC in J&K for now; BJP having a bumpy ride

New Delhi (27.08.2024): The Opposition seems to be playing very smooth while the ruling BJP at the Centre is having bumpy rides all across. The Congress and National Conference have decided to contest 51 and 32 seats respectively out of 90 seats. The two parties will have "friendly contest" on five seats while they left one seat each for CPI (M) and Panthers Party. Meanwhile, the BJP will have its CEC meeting on August 29 after controversy arose over the declaration of seats which was first announced and then taken back.
