Proposals for the new pay scales under 7th Pay Commission award may be sent this month to the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs for clearance after getting the report of revision in the pay scales of the central government employees from the Empowered Committee of Secretaries on the 7th Pay Commission," a senior Finance Ministry official was quoted as having said on Monday.
The Empowered Committee of Secretaries will revise if required, the pay scales today (June 13) on the basis of the recommendation of the inputs Implementation cell. After June 13, the Empowered Committee of Secretaries is likely to submit its updated report to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. Before end-July, the revision will be implemented to avoid the grant of increment exercise twice.
