Hyderabad (29.07.2024): The Telangana government has initiated the process for the promotion of IPS officers of 1994 batch to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP). General Administration Department (GAD) has sent the file to CM Revanth Reddy for approval. The officers included in the list are Intelligence Bureau chief B Shivadhar Reddy, Hyderabad police commissioner K Sreenivasa Reddy, officer on Intelligence Bureau deputation Apte Vinayak Prabhakar, additional director general of police (TS Police Academy) Abhilasha Bisht and director of TG-Cyber Security Bureau & CID chief Shikha Goel. Currently, these officers are holding Additional DG rank in the Cadre.
So far as two DGP rank posts are lying vacant as Sandeep Shandilya (IPS: 1993: TG) retired recently whereas Rajiv Ratan (IPS: 1991: TG) passed away recently.
