NBCC CMD Dr Anoop Kumar Mittal addressing the employees at the 14 th edition of the Samvaad said that the Navratna CPSE will have to step-up its order book execution capabilities.

 

Samvaad is a quarterly brainstorming meet, organized by the construction behemoth, in order to take stalk of internal situation, growth trajectory, business development and systematic improvements in the style of working.

 

“If we continue to work hard and execute our projects on time, no one can stop us from achieving the Maharatna status,” Dr Mittal said. The CMD and senior management engaged with around hundred officers in the daylong session and took their feedback on how to usher the company on the path of nation-building.

 

The event was attended by Rajendra Chaudhari, Director (Commercial); Neelesh K Shah, Director (Projects); Sanjiv Swarup, CVO; Gyanesh Pandey, MD, HSCC and all senior executives of NBCC.

 

CMD gave the credit of the company’s growth to its “hard-working” employees, who have been “instrumental” in raising the stock of the company in the sector in terms of more revenue generation and prestige.

LG Delhi visits NBCC East Kidwai Nagar

Lt. Governor, Delhi Anil Baijal, accompanied by Dr. Anoop Kumar Mittal (CMD, NBCC) recently visited NBCC's East Kidwai Nagar Redevelopment project in New Delhi.  Dr. Mittal while taking the LG around apprised him of the project, equipped with world class amenities along with eco-friendly and zero waste system in place. He also stated that the benefits emerging from the project had far reaching effects such as Swacchata, recycling and reuse of waste water.  During the visit, LG appreciated NBCC Team for its excellent work in the Redevelopment project - a self sustainable sub-smart city concept with social infrastructure.

NBCC observes Vigilance Awareness Week

NBCC, the state-owned Navratna CPSE, observed ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ from October 29 to November 03, 2018 on the theme “Eradicate Corruption-Build a New India”. Among highlights of the week-long event it included release of Vigilance Bulletin titled ‘पारदर्शिता’ and thought-provoking posters brought out by Vigilance Department of NBCC to spread awareness and provide valuable insights on vigilant practices.

 

Dr. Anoop Kumar Mittal (CMD, NBCC) along with Dr. Tejendra Mohan Bhasin (Vigilance Commissioner) and accompanied by Sanjiv Swarup (CVO), Rajendra Chaudhari (Director, Commercial) and other senior officials of NBCC released the bulletin and posters. Corporate Vigilance Division also organised many other important activities on the occasion at all NBCC offices across the country, which included administering Vigilance and Integrity Pledge, Interactive Session on vigilance, Motivational lecture sessions, Essay and Quiz competitions among others.

NBCC (India) Ltd has been conferred ‘Organisational Excellence Award’ 2018 by Project Management Associates (PMA) for innovation, planning, performance excellence and outstanding leadership at various organizational levels. The award was presented by Shri. Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Dr. Anoop Kumar Mittal, CMD received the award on behalf of NBCC.

NBCC’s Green Drive: Makes plantation mandatory for its projects

This is something worth underlining. State owned building construction giant NBCC (India) Ltd, on August 27, issued a revised General Conditions of Contract (GCC), making it mandatory for its contractors to plant at least five-feet-high trees of different varieties and maintain them in proportion to project value. In case of scarcity of land at the project site contractors will plant trees in any specified area within a 20-km radius of the project site.

As per the new the clause NBCC contractors will now have to plant 500 trees for a project having an estimated cost of up to Rs 100 crs. For projects valued between Rs 100 crore and Rs 300 crore, the contractors will be planting 500 trees, plus two trees for each Rs 01 cr value above Rs 100 crs. Similarly, for projects valued at over Rs 300 crore, the contractors will have to plant and maintain 1,000 trees plus 01 tree for each Rs 01 crs value above Rs 300 crs.

Terming NBCC (India) an environment-conscious corporate CMD Dr A K Mittal said “…sustainable development is our constant endeavour”.

Additional PS to PM led tree plantation drive of NBCC & RWA (NMB)

Additional Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Dr P K Mishra and a host of senior Government functionaries, on August 05, joined hands for a plantation drive, a joint initiative of RWA and NBCC, for enhancing green cover at New Moti Bagh (NMB) residential colony developed by NBCC (India) Ltd.

 

“With this drive today, we have achieved our target of planting 3,200 trees this monsoon at NMB. All these trees are upwards of 5 feet each,” NBCC CMD Dr Anoop Kumar Mittal said.

 

He further added that till date, approx 12,500 trees have been planted in the 113-acre campus which boasts of a green cover of upwards of 70 percent. NBCC was initially given a permit to cut 181 trees for redevelopment of the colony.

 

As part of ongoing green initiative, NBCC has conducted plantation drives across its project sites throughout the country. In its Kidwai Nagar re-development project NBCC planted over 10 times of what it had to cut. In NIA office complex in Guwahati NBCC planted approx 2,000 trees. It may be mentioned that during this monsoon season NBCC planted approx. 23,865 trees across the country.

 

While conducting the plantation drive in New Moti Bagh Dr Mittal stressed that redevelopment activities have to be undertaken in Delhi to ensure that the city is ready for the next 100-200 years
