Currently, Manish Gupta (IAS:1991:UT), Jt Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment, holds the additional charge of the Institute's DG post.
Reportedly, Dr H Srinivas, an Indian Railway Personnel Service officer, may be picked up for the job. There is an equal possibility for the ACC to settle for the second name on the panel for the job.
The DG post is a Non-CSS JS equivalent post which is filled through selection by a screening committee constituted by Union Labour Ministry. The post fell vacant after V P Yajurvedi (IFOS) completed his tenure 3.6 yrs back.
