why-is-there-a-delay-in-cadre-restructuring-of-cisfThe inordinate delay in CISF's  cadre restructuring has triggered a wave of disappointment within the CPMF. Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that the restructuring would have been done by now but for the Union Home Ministry recently returning the file asking how many posts in the rank of ADG, IG would be earmarked for the CISF cadre. It is expected that the number of posts in ADG & IG rank would be increased by 50 per cent. It may be underlined that the process of cadre restructuring of CPMFs namely CRPF, BSF & CISF had started simultaneously but the CISF lagged behind and is still awaiting clearance. Reportedly, a CISF cadre officer approached the Union MoS for Home Affairs with the apprehensions that the IPS cadre might not give the CISF cadre a fare share in the increased posts. The CISF cadre officer requested the MoS to intervene and take assurance in writing from the top management of the CPMF that a specific number of posts would be encadred or earmarked for the CISF cadre. Reportedly, in this backdrop, the file was returned to CISF which will declare in writing that 25 percent of the increased posts in higher rank would be encadred for CISF cadre.
