Power corridors are abuzz that an important foreign post failed miserably to attract IAS officers. A post of Resident Representative (as National Staff) in UNDP office was duly advertised by the Govt of India on 6.2.2 basis. Reportedly, the top decision makers had made up mind to post some IAS officer on deputation but IAS officers did not show much interest in grabbing the post. Though, over a dozen non IAS officers applied for the post but none found suitable. Now, the murmuring has been that why did this post failed miserably to attract IAS officers.
