'Indianmandarins' has reliably learnt that the Union Home Ministry has moved to the Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) the panel of shortlisted candidates for appointment as Director-General of the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The current DG, Sharad Kumar (IPS:1979:HY), is scheduled to retire on November 30. As the panel for the post has been moved much in advance, speculations are rife over the prospective successor of Kumar.
