New Delhi (17.03.2022): Recently, Home Minister of a state while writing appraisal (ACR) of a senior IPS officer gave 3.7 points out of 10 which falls under ‘very poor' category of performance. Instead of taking it on face value, officer’s rating was considered in sync with the minister’s own track records of being embroiled in ‘controversies’. The officer recently chose to move back to the Centre after a brief stint as the state police chief. A section of officers considered it the ACR of the minister himself instead of considering the same for the officer’s performance and rating.
