P Amudha (IAS:1994:TN) was on Monday picked by the PMO for a Joint Secretary role making spectators guessing about her mettle to meet PMO’s expectations. On her appointment, Tamil Nadu CM Palaniswami in his tweet said that Amudha earned the goodwill of the State government as well as the affection of the people through her honesty and efficiency. The NaMo government had earlier picked her as professor of Public Administration at LBSNAA in Mussoorie. As an effective field officer and swift on taking decisions in her field postings is said to have been her hallmark including her deployment during the Chennai floods in 2015 and as Special Officer for monsoon relief.
