WB: half a dozen IPS officers reshuffled

Kolkata (17.03.2022): The West Bengal government has enacted a minor reshuffle of IPS officers. These officers included:

  • Rajeev Mishra (IPS: 1996: WB) has been appointed as the new ADG and IGP of the Intelligence Branch (IB). Mishra will also be looking after court matters as well.
  • Niraj Kumar Singh has been appointed as the new ADG and IGP Admin-I.
  • Tanmay Ray Chaudhuri, additional commissioner of police of Kolkata Police, has been appointed the IGP, Presidency Range.
  • Shreesh Ram Jhajharia, DIG Presidency Range has been appointed as DIG Headquarters.
  • Prasun Bandyopadhyay, DIG Barasat Range, was moved as DIG Midnapore Range.
  • Shyam Singh (IPS: 2008: WB), DIG Midnapore, has been named as DIG Civil Defence.
