WB: half a dozen IPS officers reshuffled

Kolkata (17.03.2022): The West Bengal government has enacted a minor reshuffle of IPS officers. These officers included:
  1. Rajeev Mishra (IPS: 1996: WB) has been appointed as the new ADG and IGP of the Intelligence Branch (IB). Mishra will also be looking after court matters as well.
  2. Niraj Kumar Singh has been appointed as the new ADG and IGP Administration-I.
  3. Tanmay Ray Chaudhuri, additional commissioner of police of Kolkata Police, has been appointed the IGP, Presidency Range.
  4. Shreesh Ram Jhajharia, DIG Presidency Range has been appointed as DIG Headquarters.
  5. Prasun Bandyopadhyay, DIG Barasat Range, was moved as DIG Midnapore Range.
  6. Shyam Singh (IPS: 2008: WB), DIG Midnapore, has been named as DIG Civil Defence.
