New Delhi (31.12.2021): 1994 batch IPS Vineet Kumar Goyal has been appointed as the new Police Commissioner of Kolkata. Somen Mitra has completed his tenure as Police Commissioner of Kolkata and now he has been entrusted with the charge of DG of the state police training department. Prior to this assignment, Vineet Kumar Goyal was ADG of the Special Task Force (STF). Present ADG (CID) will look after the charge of ADG, STF, West Bengal. The present DIG Malda Praveen Kumar Tripathi has been promoted as Additional Commissioner of Police, Kolkata. IPS Sukesh Jain has been elevated to the post of DIG of State Traffic Police. The SP of Malda Alok Rajoria has been promoted as DIG Malda.
