The selection panel headed by PM Narendra Modi today concluded the selection process and appointed Verma as new chief of CBI; country's premier investigative agency. He will have a tenure of two years (up to 20 January 2019). Verma replaces Anil Kumar Sinha who completed his tenure on 02 December 2016.
