Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that the search-cum-selection-committee constituted for Sagarmala has finally worked out the eligibility criteria for the post of Managing Director. Reportedly, the post will be advertised next week. The search-cum-selection-committee comprises of four members - PESB Chairman Sanjay Kothari (Retd IAS:1978:HY), Shipping Secretary Rajive Kumar (IAS:1981:UP), DoPT Secretary B P Sharma (IAS:1981:BH) and Director (Research) AITD B N Puri who is an acclaimed expert in transport development. Sagarmala is one of the Govt's most ambitious projects and aims at harnessing the coastal resources. Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari has committed Rs 05 lac crores for completing the project before May 2019. The Sagarmala Development Company's office was inaugurated in Delhi in December last year.
