Almost three months ahead of retirement Senior IAS officer and additional chief secretary Deepak Upreti (IAS:1986:RJ) has been appointed a new chairman of Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). This post was lying vacant as the tenure of former chairman Dr Radheshyam Garg ended on May 01.
Upreti was a transport commissioner. He had also served as principal secretary in the medical and health department, mines and petroleum department and cooperative department. He had been divisional commissioner of Ajmer and commissioner in commercial sales taxes department. At present, he was posted as additional chief secretary (ACS), home guards, Jail and chief vigilance commissioner.
