Lucknow (02.08.2022): The Uttar Pradesh government has reshuffled seven IPS officers including commissioners of police (CP) of Lucknow and Kanpur. They are:
- S B Shirodkar (IPS: 1993: UP) has been appointed as the new CP of Lucknow.
- BP Jogdand (IPS: 1991: UP) has been made the new CP of Kanpur.
- D K Thakur ((IPS: 1994: UP) Lucknow CP, has been transferred to the state police headquarters.
- Vijay Singh Meena (IPS: 1996: UP) Kanpur CP, has been transferred to the state police headquarters.
- Vijay Kumar (IPS: 1988: UP) has been appointed as DG CB-CID.
- Gopal Lal Meena (IPS: 1997: UP) has been transferred as DG co-operative cell.
- Vijay Kumar Maurya (IPS: 1990: UP) has been appointed as DG home guards.
