New Delhi (16.09.2021): Feeling the pinch of farmers’ protest, the BJP may take a call on sugarcane price by bringing its SAP at par with Haryana and Punjab which is Rs 362 and Rs 360, respectively while UP is paying Rs 325. Internal survey of the BJP has made the party uneasy in western UP in view of RLD likely to join hands with the SP. The BJP had won 117 seats out of 146 seats in Western UP. The government has to deal with electricity prices and stray cattle issues. Jats in western UP and Brahmins in central UP and eastern UP are the main concern of the BJP leaders.
