Jaipur (28.10.2022): The Rajasthan government has appointed Umesh Mishra (IPS: 1989: RJ) as the new DGP of the state. The incumbent DGP M L Lather is retiring on October 31, 2022. Mishra superseded three IPS officers – Pankaj Kumar Singh, Bhagwan Lal Soni and Utkal Ranjan Sahu -- of 1988 batch. Two other officers of the 1989 batch – Bhupendra Kumar Dak and Neena Singh – were also in the reckoning for the post of DGP.
