New Delhi (29.06.2021): The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday appointed Dr C Sylendra Babu (IPS:1987:TN) as the new Director-General of Police (DGP). Babu replaces Jalad K Tripathy (IPS:1985:TN) completing a two-year fixed-term on Wednesday. V Irai Anbu, Chief Secretary, Govt of Tamil Nadu, issued the order appointing him as the head of the police force in the state.
