New Delhi (08.02.2024): Following Secretary-level reshuffle in the beginning of this month, three Secretary Equivalent posts have fallen vacant.
The post of Secretary, North Eastern Council Secretariat fell vacant with the appointment of K Moses Chalai (IAS: 1990: MN) as Secretary Inter-State Council Secretariat under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Though, as sanctioned CEC post is Additional Secretary level post but mostly it is offered to adjust an officer empanelled for holding Secretary equivalent level post.
The post of Special Secretary (Logistics) fell vacant on the appointment of Sumita Dawra (IAS: 1991: AP) as Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment.
Further, the post of in-charge, Central Agency Section (Ministry of Law & Justice) fell vacant on the appointment of Rita Vashisht as Secretary, 22nd Law Commission. It may be underlined that a few Additional Secretary level posts are already on offer whereas a few more Secretary, Equivalent posts are lined up for vacancy in next few weeks.
