It learnt that NaMo
administration may constitute three new security agencies in a few months
namely; Defence Cyber Agency, Defence Space Research Agency and Armed Forces
Special Operation Division. The agencies would deal with the cyber and space
attacks and executing precise surgical strikes and may directly report to CDS
that is likely to be appointed by the year end. They will be headed by officers
on the rank of Major General or Lieutenant General and will be represented by
all the three forces. Approval (in principal) for
the same were given around a year ago by the PM Modi in the conference of Army
commanders which is being formalised now.
