Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that as many as three executive directors are in the race for the post of Director (Power), BHEL, as external candidates. They are Naveen Kumar ED, PFC; Susanta Kumar Roy ED, NTPC; and Tejveer Singh ED, SAIL. The selection interview is scheduled for April 19. The post has been lying vacant since January 01, 2016 vice Atul Sobti, now CMD of BHEL. Indianmandarins reported on March 06 that five Executive Directors from BHEL have already joined the race as internal candidates. They were Manoj Kumar Sharma, Akhil Joshi, Kishor Purswani, V K Chohan and Nishikant R Edkie. Five GMs from BHEL, too, have started preparing for the interaction. They are G K Hedaoo, D K Thakur, J Kalaiselvan, J Govindswami and D K Dikshit. The post of Director (Power) is considered a key position & responsibility in BHEL and that is one of the prime reasons that internal candidates are preferred for the post. But doors are never closed for the best talent from outside BHEL.
