New Delhi (22.09.2024): The Centre on Saturday appointed three Additional Director General rank officer to the post of Special Director (Level-16 in the pay matrix) in respective organisations.  
  • Praveer Ranjan (IPS: 1993: AGMUT) was appointed as Special Director General in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). To formalize his elevation and appointment the ADG posts held by him was temporarily upgraded to Special DG for a tenure of two years.
  • Vitul Kumar (IPS: 1993: UP) was appointed as  Special DG in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), against existing vacancy, till his retirement i.e. 31.08.2028
  • R Prasad Meena (IPS: 1993: AM) was appointed as Special DG in the Border Security Force (BSF), against existing vacancy, till his retirement i.e. 31.07.2025.
