New Delhi (07.01.2026): Union Budget is presented on the first day of February every year but this February, the first day of the month is a Sunday making everyone curious if there would be any change. Since Budget involves not only political dispensation but bureaucracy, corporates, market players and many others as well. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman indicated that it may be shifted to the next working but message has been conveyed that no change on this norm. Top bureaucracy which hardly gets even comfortable weekly offs is hard pressed on the Budget preparation as they would be working on weekends. Corporates too are planning the day accordingly.
