In a futuristic forecast Tony Seba, a Stanford University economist, claims that Tesla’s technology is all set to transform the transport landscape across the globe in next eight to ten years.

Seba forecasts that no more petrol or diesel cars, buses, or trucks will be sold anywhere in the world within eight years. The market for land transport will switch to electrification, leading to the demise of fossil-fuel fired vehicles, the petroleum industry which will further lead to a collapse of oil prices.
