Telangana: A major reshuffle of IAS and IPS officers

Hyderabad (04.01.2024): The Telangana government has enacted a major reshuffle that included 23 IPS and 26 IAS officers. Senior officer and secretary in Telangana CM’s office Smita Sabharwal (IAS: 2001: TG) has been transferred and posted as member-secretary of the TS Finance Corporation relieving Sandeep Kumar Sultania (IAS: 1988: TG) from full additional charge of the post.
Sabharwal has also been relieved from the full additional charge as Irrigation Secretary where she will be replaced by another senior officer GAD secretary (political) Rahul Bojja (IAS: 2000; TG). Agriculture Secretary M Raghunandan Rao (IAS: 2002: TG) has been placed in the full additional charge as GAD secretary (political). Some of the important changes done by the newly elected Congress government are as follows:
  • V V Srinivasa Rao (IPS: 1995: TG) has been posted as Additional DGP, Technical Services.
  • Dr Gajarao Bhupal (IPS: 2008: TG) has been posted as DIG, Coordination, DGP. 
  • Rema Rajeswari (IPS: 2009: TG) has been posted as DIG, Women Safety. 
  • L S Chowhan (IPS: 2009: TG) has been posted as Commissioner of Police, Ramagundam.
  • D Joel Davis (IPS: 2010: TG) has been posted as DIG, Zone-VII (Jogulamba).
  • Vishnu S Warrier (IPS: 2010: TG) has been directed to report to DGP. 
  • P V Padmaja (IPS: 2013: TG) has been posted as DCP, Malkajgiri.
  • Dr G Janaki Sharmila (IPS: 2013: TG) has been posted as SP, Nirmal.
  • Janaki Dharavath (IPS: 2013: TG) has been posted as DCP, South East Zone.
  • Sunil Dutt has been posted as Commissioner of Police, Khammam.
  • S Rajendra Prasad has been posted as SP CID.
  • D Uday Kumar Reddy (IPS: 2013: TG) has been posted as SP, TS TRANSCO.
  • Gaush Alam (IPS: 2017: TG) has been posted as SP, Adilabad.
  • Dr G Veineeth (IPS: 2017: TG) has been posted as DCP Madhapur. 
  • Dr P Shabarish (IPS: 2017: TG) has been posted as SP, Mulugu.
  • Nitika Pant (IPS: 2017: TG) has been posted as DCP (L&O), Medchal zone.
  • Dr B Anuradha (IPS: 2017: TG) has been posted as Commissioner of Police, Siddipet.
  • Ch Praveen Kumar (IPS: 2017: TG) has been posted as DCP, L B Nagar. 
  • Biruduraju Rohit Raju (IPS: 2018: TG) has been posted as SP, Bhadradri Kothagudem.
  • B Bala Swamy (IPS: 2018: TG) has been posted as SP Medak.
  • Ashok Kumar (IPS: 2019: TG) has been posted as OSD.
  • R Venkateshwarlu has been posted as DCP, Traffic-III, Hyderabad.
  • Ch Srinivas has been posted as DCP, Rajendranagar.
