New Delhi (04.06.2021): The Apex Court on Thursday opined that Justice Shiva Kirti Singh would continue as Chairman of the Telecom Disputes Settlement Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) till a fresh appointment is made to the post. Contrary to the prescribed four-year limit under the latest Tribunal Reforms ordinance, the continuance of Justice Singh will be beyond the four-year limit Under the provisions of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) Act Justice Singh was appointed as chairperson of TDSAT on April 21, 2017, for a period of three years ending April 20, 2020. Having SC expressed its view on his continuance Justice Singh will be heading TDSAT till the appointment of a regular incumbent.
