As Indianmandarins has anticipated in its report on Feburary 01, 2016 the incumbent Genral Manager, BHEL (Trichi) Chockalingam S has been appointed as Director (Finance), Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd
The post of Director (Finance) was vacant since May 31, 2015 after the retirement of P K Bajpai. Currently the additional charge of Director Finance is with Atul Sobti, CMD, BHEL.
On October 21, 2014 PESB had selected S K Sahni (GM, BHEL) for the post along with an alternative name of Chokalingam.
After ACC turned down the recommendation of first name Chokalingam's was cleared finally.
