New Delhi (22.03.2025): Apparently bureaucracy does not seem to have come to terms with the fact that there are BJP governments at the Centre and also in Delhi. Now, they no more always have to look at the LG to act and to listen to People’s representative (MLAs). But this is happening in Delhi forcing Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta to write a letter to Delhi Chief Secretary (CS) Dharmendra (IAS: 1989: AGMUT) stating that government officers are not acknowledging letters, phone calls or messages from Assembly members.

It may take time to adjust with the new order in Delhi as for the past 10 years, there was a tussle between the bureaucracy if they follow orders of the Delhi government or LG. What does a letter of an MLA mean to bureaucracy? How should they do behave with the political leadership of Delhi especially those who are part of the Assembly? They all need to be addressed once again it seems.
