New Delhi (27.03.2021): Ms. Soma Mondal, SAIL Chairperson, will also chair the SCOPE following a participative election that has put her at the helm of the public sector communication and consultative organization. Further, IREDA CMD Pradip Kumar Das has been elected as the Vice-Chairman of SCOPE.

The results of the elections to various posts of the SCOPE for the two-year of 2021-23 were announced by Returning Officer and DG SCOPE in the presence of representatives from CPSUs. He also announced that the new Executive Board will assume office from 1 April 2021.

While declaring the results, the Returning Officer said that the newly elected Board would further encourage the SCOPE to take newer initiatives. DG SCOPE also underlined that with the newly elected Board, the apex body hopes to achieve better results for member CPSUs.

It may be underlined that SCOPE has been facing a sort of stagnancy for so long for want of new initiatives, barring regular webinars, due to COVID pandemic.

Though SCOPE in the recent past has taken a series of initiatives to become a more impactful measure yet lack of innovative and path-breaking initiatives has become a challenging task before the organization.
