New Delhi (31.01.2024): Exactly a month after the appointment of former Dy Chairman NITI Aayog Arvind Panagariya as the Chairman of the Sixteenth Finance Commission, the New Delhi establishment on January 31 notified the appointment of four members of the Commission. 
  • Ajay Narayan Jha (Retd IAS: 1982) as Full-Time Member. Former Expenditure Secretary A. N. Jha also worked as Member of the 15th FC.
  • In addition to Jha former Special Secretary, Department of Expenditure Annie George Mathew was also picked as Full-Time Member of the Commission.
  • Dr Niranjan Rajadhyaksha, Executive Director, Artha Global was also made Full-Time Member.
  • In addition to three Fill-Time Member Dr Soumya Kanti Ghosh will be the only Part-Time Member in the five-member Commission. Currently, Dr Ghosh is Group Chief Executive Advisor, State Bank of India.
