Siraj Hussain (IAS:1979:UP) has been given additional charge of Secretary, Dept of Food & Public Distribution for a period of three months. Presently, he has been working as Secretary, Dept of Aggriculture & Cooperation since March 03, 2015. Prior to this stint he was Secretary to Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
The incumbent Secy, Dept of Food & Public Distribution, Sudhir Kumar (IAS:UP:1978) to retire on May 31, 2015.
