Immediately after the swearing-in-ceremony of newly elected Chief Minister of PUnjab Karan Avtar Singh (IAS:1984:PB) appointed as new Chief Secretary. Avtar Singh replaced Sarvesh Kaushal (IAS:1982:PB).
Singh has approx three and a half years as residual service. He will retire on 31 August 2020.
