With the fast approaching date of completion of tenure of R N Ravi (Retd IPS:1976:KL) as the chief of Joint Intelligence Committeee (JIC), functioning under the National Security Council Secretariat, power corridors are abuzz with speculations over the probable successors.
Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that former chief of Intelligence Bureau Dineshwar Sharma (Retd IPS:1979:KL), who retired from the post of Director IB in december last year, may be named as Ravi's successor at JIC by the end of April this year.
Ravi, who retired as IB Special Director in 2012, was appointed as chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee for a period of three years or till attainment of 65 years of age. Further on 29 August 2014 NaMo administration appointed him as Naga Interlocutor.
