Shamika Ravi, a senior fellow at Brookings India, may soon be appointed as part-time member of the Economic Advisory Council (EAC) to the Prime Minister. At Brookings she leads the development economics research vertical and is also associated with Indian School of Business as visiting professor. PM-EAC, headed by Bibek Debroy, includes Principal Advisor of NITI Aayog (Ratan Watal) as its member and economists Ashima Goyal, Rathin Roy and Surjit Bhalla as part-time members.
