New Delhi (27.07.2022): The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has issued a Gazette notification barring retired government officials of any intelligence or security-related organizations from publishing (or revealing by any means) anything related to their domain without prior permission. Any violation may result in withholding or withdrawal of pension completely.
The new insertions that were notified on May 31, 2021 need prior permission from the competent authority. The intelligence or security organizations that are exempt under RTI will come under the preview of new pension rules. They include: R&AW, IB, DRI, CEIB, NCB, ARC, Special Frontier Force, BSF, CRPF, ITBP, CISF, NSG, Assam Rifles, SSB, DG Income Tax (Intelligence), NRTO, FIU, SPG, DRDO, Border Road Development Organisation, NSC, CBI, NIA and Natgrid.
