Lucknow (31.03.2023): Within a month after retirement the Lucknow Establishment appointed1988 batch IAS officer Arvind Kumar (Retd IAS:UP) as advisor to CM Yogi Adityanath for industries. Kumar retired as the infrastructure and industrial development commissioner on February 28, 2023. His last month of service was spent in organising the Global Investors Summit. In May 2022, he was appointed the infrastructure and industrial development commissioner. 
Interestingly, his appointment as advisor to CM is a temporary post created for a period of 11 months till February 29, 2024. 
The term of his service as Adviser to CM coincides the end of the term of G20 Secretariat i.e. 29.02.2024 triggers the speculations whether he has been roped-in for advising CM on G20 Summit.
