New Delhi (06.01.2024): Putting all kind of speculations, over the appointment of next Member Finance, to rest the Ministry of Railways has devised a unique arrangement to formalise the functioning of newly appointed DG of NAIR (Vadodra). In a freshly issued order the Ministry of Railways has said that Roopa Srinivasan (IRMS) will function as DG NAIR from Railway Board (New Delhi) and will continue to look after the duties of the post of Member (Finance), Railway Board. Srinivasan was given the additional charge of Member Finance w.e.f 01.01.2024 after Anjali Goyal superannuated from service on 31.12.2023 Srinivasan .The latest order appears to have shown the craftsmanship while handling the complex situation that arisen in the backdrop of the notification dated 18.12.2023.   

It may be underlined that the order dated 18.12.2023 has put the complete infrastructure of National Academy of Indian Railways (NAIR, Vadodra); including classrooms, faculty offices, labs, hostels, mess, guest house, auditorium, security, sports facilities etc, at the disposal of newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), Vadodra. The complete infrastructure of NAIR was previously under the direct jurisdiction of DG, NAIR.
