Turf war between Nehru-Gandhi scion and former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Union textile minister Smriti Irani is far from getting over as reportedly the Union minister got food arranged for 40 stranded workers belonging to Amethi starving far off in Waynad in Kerala. But the Congress had accused that Irani is neglecting Amethi and Rahut got sanitizers distributed in Amethi.

Though Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan has come to the rescue of Rahul Gandhi as food supply not reaching stranded laborers could be a blot on a celebrated CM at least in media for handling the Coronavirus situation in the best possible manner. Irani got ration supplied to them with the help of Union minister of state for external affairs V Muraleedharan.

Disconnect has been the major reason for the defeat of Rahul Gandhi in Amethi and the same is reflected in Waynad. But the BJP does not stand any chance in Waynad and moreover elections are too far off but these stories will travel to Amethi making its impact for sure. It is too early to talk about such a thing but the image that is percolating down is that Gandhi's family is only causing trouble instead of being a responsible opposition.

Vijayan defended that when the government officials visited these stranded workers they had enough of dry food. They refused to accept cooked food. But before officials could reach the food items had reached them. The intervention of government and minister is a big thing, but even small workers of the BJP and RSS are involved in providing food to needy people.

Former Congress chief did not even give any response to this on which experts say that there is a complete disconnect in the Congress over the issue and five demands made by the Congress chief during the All-party meeting smells more of a politics than welfare. In the time of social media it is really difficult to escape the scrutiny of any idea.
