New Delhi (14.08.2024): The New Delhi establishment cleared the appointment of Rahul Naveen (IRS IT: 1993) as regular Director in the Directorate of Enforcement. for a period of two years. He has been officiating as Director. While working as Special Director in ED Navin was appointed as in-charge Director of ED on September 15, 2023 following the end of the tenure of S K Mishra.
The Government had, on December 01, 2023, signalled its intent of making him the successor of S K Mishra after it empanelled Rahul Naveen for holding the Additional Secretary-rank post in Govt of India. It may be underlined that the post of Director in ED is an Additional Secretary level post which is often elevated (temporarily) to the rank and pay of Secretary, Government of India. His predecessor Sanjay Kumar Mishra (Retd IRS IT: 1984) also took over as ED Chief as Additional Secretary and later he was empanelled and elevated to the rank and pay of Secretary.
