New Delhi (15.07.2025): R Doraiswamy has taken over as Managing
Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC). Union Finance Ministry
issued a formal notification in this regard confirming the appointment. Doraiswamy will hold this position of MD and CEO for a
period of three years or until he reaches the age of 62 i.e. August 28, 2028
whichever comes first. Last month, Financial Services Institutions Bureau had
recommended Doraiswamy for this position after examining four candidates based

New Delhi (15.07.2025): R Doraiswamy has taken over as Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC). Union Finance Ministry issued a formal notification in this regard confirming the appointment.
Doraiswamy will hold this position of MD and CEO for a period of three years or until he reaches the age of 62 i.e. August 28, 2028 whichever comes first.
