Punjab CS apologies to minister; Principal Secretary to CM too joins the office

By IndianMandarins- 28 May 2020

Punjab CM Amarinder Singh and his Chief Principal Secretary Suresh Kumar (IAS (rtd):1983: Punjab) attended offices after several months and state Chief Secretary Karan A Singh (IAS:1984:PB) has tendered an apology to Cabinet for his alleged arrogant behavior and body language.

The CS’s apology was accepted. FM Manpreet Badal and Charanjit Channi accepted his apology and decide to bury the matter. This is for the first time that a CS had to apologize to ministers. In fact, such an incident has never been heard in any state of the country.

The same has been the case with Chief Principal Secretary to CM who had abandoned his office in the first week of September 2019 when he was allegedly targeted by people close to the CM. Since then Suresh Kumar had never visited his Punjab Civil Secretariat office. He used to work from home or from the premises of Punjab Bhawan, Chandigarh.
