Punjab: After 18 transfers in 8 years, Nimbale joins NIA

Chandigarh (30.07.2022): After many IAS officers of Punjab who sought central deputation, Dhruman S Nimbale (IPS: 2010: PB), who was in the news recently for frequent transfers as SSP in various districts of Punjab, has been moved to the NIA, which is headed by Punjab cadre DGP-rank officer Dinkar Gupta.Nimbale has seen 18 transfers in eight years and was known as an expert against illegal mining. The AAP government had courted controversy in April by transferring him to Muktsar just a week after he had carried out one of the biggest operations against illegal miners. Before this transfer, Nimbale remained as SSP Tarn Taran for five months only. He remained SSP Moga for two months prior to that.
