Five Central Public Sector Enterprises will receive the SCOPE Excellence Award under institutional category from President of India Dr. Pranab Mukherjee on April 11 for 2013-2014. Oil sector giant ONGC will be conferred the award under the Maharatna/Navratna category whereas Sutluj Jal Vikas Nigam Ltd (SJVNL) and Tehri Hydroelectric Development Corporation (THDCIL) would be conferred under the Institutional Category II (Miniratna I&II). Under the category of 'Other profit-making PSEs' (Institutional category III), IREDA (Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited) and NTPC-SAIL Power Company Ltd will be awarded, whereas Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) has made a special place for itself under Special Institutional (Turnaround) Category. The SCOPE Excellence Awards were announced on March 03 which is given for Excellence & Outstanding Contribution to Public Sector Management.
