New Delhi (20.06.2022): Eminent economist Professor R Kavita Rao has taken over as the Director of the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP) for a five-year term ending 19.06.2027. She succeeds Pinaki Chakraborty. Rao has been working as a professor at NIPFP. She holds a Master's degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and a Ph.D. from the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata.
