Priyanka Gandhi may contest from the Bellary LS seat in Karnataka

Bengaluru (12.10.2022): Speculation is rife that Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi may consider contesting the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Bellary in Karnataka. Sonia Gandhi contested the seat in 1999 defeating former External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj. Senior Congress leaders from Karnataka are trying to convince Priyanka to return to Ballari. However, there is also a strong buzz that she might actually take the plunge from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh. She is set to join Rahul Gandhi in the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra in Karnataka.
