The NaMo administration, on Tuesday, cleared the appointment of 1990 batch of IAS officers as Additional Secretary in various departments and ministries in addition to the appointments and reshuffle of officers from various batches and services. Accordingly;

• Sumeet Jerath (IAS:1985:AM) appointed Special Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat (SR) by temporarily upgrading the post. Presently, he is Special Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of External Affairs.
• Ms. Dolly Chakrabarty (IA&AS:1987) appointed Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare. Presently, she Joint Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
• Ms Gargi Kaul (IA&AS:1984) appointed as Secretary (Defence Finance), Ministry of Defence. Presently, she is Financial Advisor (Defence Services), Ministry of Defence.
• Ms. Meenakshi Gupta (IA&AS:1984) was elevated (in-situ) in the rank and pay of Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post. Presently, she is Member Secretary, National Commission for Women, Ministry of Women & Child Development.
• Prem Kumar Kataria (IA&AS:1985), presently in the Cadre, appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles.
• Prashant Kumar (IFoS:1985:MP) was elevated (in-situ) in the rank Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post as a measure personal to the officer. Presently, he is Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development.
• Chandra Bhan Singh (IES:1986) was elevated (in-situ) in the rank of Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post as a measure personal to the officer. Presently, he is ADG, Bureau of Indian Standards, Department of Consumer Affairs.
• Vinod Kumar Tiwari (IFoS:1986:HP) appointed to the post of Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal vice Suresh Kumar (IAS:1986:JK). Presently, he is Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs. Suresh Kumar was repatriated for availing the benefit of promotion in his parent cadre i.e. J&K.
• Rajesh Kumar Chaudhry (IFoS:1987:PB) was elevated (in-situ) in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post. Presently, he is Joint Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises.
• Ms. Alka Bhargava (IFoS:1987:AM) appointed (in-situ) as Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare. Presently, she is Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture.
• Amitabh Kumar (IRS IT:1987) appointed (in-situ) as Director General (Shipping), Ministry of Shipping in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary. He is ADG, Shipping.
• Dheeraj Bhatnagar (IRS IT:1987) was elevated (in-situ) in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary in the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM). Presently, he is Joint Secretary, DIPAM.
• Rajesh Kr. Chaturvedi (IAS:1987:MP) appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Culture. Presently, he is Member (Administration), National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
• Dharmendra Sharma (IAS:1988:UT), presently in the Cadre, appointed DG, India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading and re-designating the post of DG (Training) in the Election Commission of India held by Sudeep Jain (IAS:1994:TN). Jain will be adjusted against the existing vacancy of Deputy Election Commissioner.
• Anil Kumar Jha (IAS:1988:KN) appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance. Presently, he is in the cadre state of Karnataka.
• Atul Kumar Tiwari (IAS:1990:KN) appointed Additional Secretary, Ministry of I&B by restoring the post (JS, I&B) held by him to the level of Additional Secretary.
• S K G Rahate (IAS:1990:JH) appointed to the post of Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power. Presently he is Principal Secretary, Home in the Cadre state.
• Deepak Kumar (IAS:1990:UP) was in-situ elevated in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post upto 19.06.2019 (Le. date of completion of his 7 year central deputation tenure). Presently, he is Executive Director, India Trade Promotion Organization.
• Syedain Abbasi (IAS:1990:AM) was in-situ elevated as Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post of Executive Director, Food Corporation of India, Department of Food & Public Distribution.
• Raj Kumar Goyal (IAS:1990:JK) Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of External Affairs vice Sumeet Jerath (IAS:1985:AM) on his appointment as Special Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat (SR). Presently he is Principal Secretary, Home in the Cadre state.
• Ravi Shankar Prasad (IAS:1990:AM) was in-situ elevated as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC). Presently, he is Joint Secretary, MoEF&CC.
• Vivek Bhardwaj (IAS:1990:WB) appointed to the post of Additional Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Presently, vacancy Joint Secretary, MHA.
• Ms. Archana Agrawal (IAS:1990:UP) appointed Member Secretary, National Capital Region Planning Board, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs against existing vacancy. Presently, she is Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power.
• Ms. Sarada G Muraleedharan (IAS:1990:KL) was elevated (in-situ) in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post as a measure personal to the officer. Presently sheis DG National Institute of Fashion Technology, Ministry of Textiles.
• Ms. Meeta R Lochan (IAS:1990:MH) was elevated (in-situ) in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post as a measure personal to the officer. Presently, she is Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, Department of Commerce.
• Ms. Arti Ahuja (IAS:1990:OR) appointed as Special Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (under DoPT) in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post as a measure personal to the officer. • K Moses Chalai (IAS:1990:MN) appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development. Presently, he is Joint Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development.
• Bhupinder Singh Bhalla (IAS:1990:UT) appointed (in-situ) Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce by temporarily upgrading the post as a measure personal to the officer. Presently, he is Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce.
